All children deserve to know who their biological parents are, even if the parents don't deserve their children. Keeping these things from your child will indefinitely leave a hole in their hearts and they typically look in all the wrong places to refill those holes as they grow (i.e. Drinking, drugs, bad relationships, rebellion). Please tell your children everything you can about their parent/s, it'll be one of the best gifts you could ever give them! Kids: talk to supportive people about this
